Kang Sora and Yoo Yeon Seok will lead new Hong Sisters’ drama

Actress Kang Sora and actor Yoo Yeon Seok are confirmed to take the lead roles in the upcoming MBC drama written by the famous Hong Sisters.

After reports of the rising actress to be recruited to the new drama, it is now confirmed that Kang Sora will be joined by Yoo Yeon Seok to lead the drama now renamed Warm and Cozy, (formerly Jeju Gatsby) which is a Jeju dialect, hoping the romantic love comedy will warm the hearts of viewers as the season changes. Following prior famous dramas including KBS’s Master’s Sun and MBC’s The Greatest Love, the Hong Sisters are loved by many who look forward to their upcoming work.

Taking place in Jeju Island, Warm and Cozy will tell the tale of youths leaving the cosmopolitan cities to lead new lives in the more laid-back island.

After receiving praises from her performance as a tough worker in Misaeng, Kang Sora will play the role of Lee Jung Joo in Warm and Cozy, for whom behind her cold appearance is a weak and fragile girl. Despite working hard in the five years she stayed in Seoul, she remained in hardship and eventually became unemployed, hence hoping to start over in Jeju Island.

On the other hand Yoo Yeon Seok, who is back for his first drama since Reply 1994, will be taking the role of Baek Gun Woo, a handsome gentleman with a pure heart, who built a hotel in Jeju Island just because the girl of his love have to stay there.

Meanwhile, B1A4’s Jinyoung is also reported to have been offered a role in the drama. However his agency WM Entertainment cautiously replied that nothing is yet confirmed.

Warm and Cozy is set to air in May, following the finale of Angry Mom.
