10 K-Pop Girl Groups Expected To Possibly Debut In 2021

We can’t wait to see what these girls have!

We are a few weeks into 2021 so you know what that means! It’s time to think about all of the possible girl groups and boy groups that will be coming out this year! Here are just 10 of the probably many girl groups to grace this year.

1. TRI.BE

Formerly known as TRI.ANGLE and LIONGIRLS, TRI.BE is a 7 member group currently belonging to TR Entertainment (formerly belonging to Lionheart Entertainment). Their name breaks down to “Tri” from triangle (a symbol of perfection) and “be” for existence, together meaning, “perfect existence”. The girls are co-produced by Shinsadong Horangi and Universal Music and are scheduled to debut in February. TRI.BE currently consists of Songsun, Kelly, Jinha, Hyunbin, Jia, Soeun, and Mire.

2. GAIA

GAIA (formerly Gen-Z) is currently under AXIS Entertainment and has reduced down to 4 members, Nairu, Rina, Mari, and Rosa. Their pre-debut has been a little rocky, but they are expected to be ready to debut in 2021.

3. PURPLE KISS

Although PURPLE KISS debuted a (pre-debut) single last November, their true debut is set for early this year. They are under RBW Entertainment, which is known for other popular groups such as MAMAMOO, VROMANCE, ONEUS, and ONEWE. They have 7 members including Park Jieun, Na Goeun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein, and Swan (below).

4. Mystic Story Girls

This girl group is currently unnamed but consists of 6 members, Miyu, Sua, Suhyun, Haram, Tsuki, and Siyoon. They are from MYSTIC Story which is a subsidiary of SM Entertainment and also manages the boy band, LUCY. They were supposed to debut in 2020 but it is unknown why they didn’t. Fans are hoping it just got pushed back to 2021 due to COVID-19.

5. Ggumnamu (Dream Tree)

These 6 girls have been rookies under WM Entertainment since 2017. They are suspected to soon debut, however, and join their sunbaes OH MY GIRL, B1A4, and ONF. The group consists of members Chaeyeon, Hyunseo, Seunghyun, Yeongin, Chaewon, and Joowon.

6. ZeroSix

These 5 girls are already set to debut in February! Under LIZ Entertainment, the group consists of Xindy, Byeolha, Yehwa, SeoA, and Davin.

7. PIXY

PIXY is an upcoming 6 member girl group from ALLART Entertainment. Their group consists of Ella, Lola, Saetbyeol, Dia, Sua, and Dajeong. They are expected to appear in early 2021.

8. A-Girls (LIMETREE?)

A-Girls is an upcoming 7-member group from A Entertainment. They are suspected to be a rebranding of the pre-debut group, LIMETREE, which was supposed to debut last year. They currently consist of Yunseon, Myunggyeong, Dahyeon, Suyeon, Shinyoung, Yubin, and Jihyeon. Members Kokona and Jieun left the group in early 2020. Fans hope they will be ready in 2021.

9. 05Class

05Class is a unique 7 member girl group consisting only of girls who were born in 2005. They are under JPlanet Entertainment which also manages LUNARSOLAR. The members are Geumhee, Sua, Seoyeon, Yeham, Naeun, Yoonjeong, and Duna. They are expected to be debuting in late 2021.

10. World Dreams

World Dreams is a suspected girl group from WorldStar Entertainment. They are planned for late 2021 and consist of 7 tentative members, Soobin, Soyeon, Heewon, Hyejin, Yerim, Yejin, and Kyuhyun.

 

BONUS Solos:

1. BLACKPINK’s Rosé

On the second to last day of 2020, it was announced that the rest of the girls of BLACKPINK will be working on their own solos.

2. BLACKPINK’s Lisa

YG Entertainment has currently not set a date for any of the girls’ solo debuts but have stated that each will have their own music video. Fans are hoping that they will all come as soon as 2021.

3. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo

Jisoo’s solo was stated to have a solo debut as well but it won’t be until after her acting debut in Snowdrop.

4. HONDAM

Hondam will be the first artist under ROSCHILD, a company formed by YG Entertainment producer Rovin. She is currently doing covers but has been said to be preparing for a full debut.
