These 15 Female K-Pop Albums Had The Most First Week Sales Ever

These ladies are all absolutely killing it.

There are a few female artists in K-Pop that are really owning the industry, and it shows in their music video view counts as well as their streaming numbers and album sales! The following 15 albums are the best-selling female albums within the first week of them being released, and though some of them might have since made more sales than those that had more copies sold originally, this is still an impressive feat. 15. TWICEcoaster: Lane 2 by TWICE

Released on February 20, 2017, this album’s title track is “Knock Knock”, a much-loved TWICE classic. In its first week of sales it sold a total of 113.6k copies, and has now made 351.3k sales overall!

14. Signal by TWICE

Of course, the title song of this album is the same name as the album itself, and it was released on May 16, 2017. It sold a total of 114.2k copies in its first week, and has now sold 385.3k copies to date.

13. Monster by Red Velvet’s Irene & Seulgi

This album just came out on July 6 of this year, and within its first week, sold 117.4k copies! As of today, it has sold a total of 156.9k copies so far, but it will likely increase quite a bit more since it’s still so new.

12. Yes or Yes by TWICE

Another album with the same name as the title track, Yes or Yes came out on November 6, 2018, and within its first week since it was released sold 118.2k copies. As of now, it’s sold over 378.6k copies!

11. Twicetagram by TWICE

The title track of Twicetagram was “Likey”, still one of fans’ favorite TWICE songs. Within its first week after it came out on October 31, 2017, it sold 129.6k copies, and as of now, has sold more than 391k units!

10. HEART*IZ by IZ*ONE

HEART*IZ was IZ*ONE’s second album, with the song “Violeta” as the title track. It came out on April 1, 2019, and sold 132.1k copies in its first week. Since then, it has sold a total of 294.5k copies to date!

9. Purpose by Taeyeon (Girls’ Generation)

This album by the solo Girls’ Generation artist was her second one to be released, and came out on October 28, 2019 with the title track “Spark”. In its first week it sold 132.8k copies, and to date has sold 222.7k copies total!

8. Kill This Love by BLACKPINK

Kill This Love is BLACKPINK’s second mini album, and unsurprisingly sold incredibly well in its first week, with 146k total sales. The love for BLACKPINK continued past the first week of its release, and has now sold 371.6k copies!

7. Love Poem by IU

IU is known as one of K-Pop’s best selling female soloists for good reason! Her Love Poem album sold 147.9k copies in the first week after its November 19, 2019 release, and has since sold a total of 216.4k copies.

6. Fancy You by TWICE

“Fancy” was a huge hit for TWICE, and the first week of album sales proved as much, with 151k copies sold in the week after its April 23, 2019 release. To date, it has now sold 414k copies!

5. Feel Special by TWICE

Feel Special also did incredibly well, as can be clearly seen by the 154k copies it sold in the week after it came out on September 23, 2019. It’s currently still one of their best-selling albums with 449.5k copies sold.

4. How You Like That by BLACKPINK

This single, unsurprisingly, skyrocketed onto this list in the week after its July 17, 2020 release, selling a total of 204.3k copies. As of now, only a couple days afterwards, it has reached 209.6k copies sold!

3. More & More by TWICE

TWICE’s latest album is also their best in terms of first week sales, with 332.4k copies sold in the week after its June 2, 2020 release. Even though it’s only been a couple months since then, it’s now sold an incredible 563.6k copies, making it the best-selling album by any female K-Pop artist!

2. BLOOM*IZ by IZ*ONE

IZ*ONE have become queens of first-week sales, with their 3rd album, BLOOM*IZ, selling 356.3k copies in its first week after its February 17, 2020 release! It now has sold 483.7k copies total.

And finally, IZ*ONE also takes the #1 spot in female album sales in the first week, with 389.3k albums sold the week after its recent June 15, 2020 release. As of today, it has now sold an impressive 537.8k copies, beat only by TWICE’s MORE & MORE album sales!
