Here are 3 difficult obstacles that V has overcome.

1. Getting bullied

In a live broadcast, V shared that his “friend” bullied him in the past. This “friend” invited V to his birthday party but purposefully gave V the wrong address! V didn’t know about this and showed up at the wrong place and waited several hours. When V eventually did find the correct address, he gave his “friend” his birthday gift and left.

I didn’t know where to go, so I waited outside for three hours with the gift certificate while trying to figure out where I should go. I went there and gave him the present, and I said, ‘It’s time for me to go home now, so I’m going to leave.’ and left. I remember crying so hard as I walked home.

V later found out that this “friend” did this to him because he was jealous that V got along well with people. Despite the experience, V chose to forgive this person after they apologized.

It was actually revealed later that he was extremely jealous of me. After some time had passed, he confessed that he was jealous because I got along so well with our friends. Honestly, it was something that happened in elementary school, and we were still young. He sincerely apologized to me around two years later. We had been awkward for a while because of that incident, but because he apologized sincerely to me, I thanked him.

2. Dealing with cholinergic urticaria

Cholinergic urticaria is an itchy skin rash that is triggered by rises in body temperature. If an afflicted person gets too warm, their skin breaks out in hives. The reactions for this condition can range from mild itchiness to difficulty in breathing and pain. Throughout V’s career, ARMYs have noticed V working hard to overcome the condition, such as not wearing tight clothes and drinking lots of water at concerts so that his body temperature doesn’t rise too much.

3. Dealing with malicious netizens

In 2015 on an episode of Mnet‘s M Countdown, BTS’s “I Need U” got first place, and when RM was giving their acceptance speech, V was shown singing BIGBANG‘s “Loser.”

Some netizens decided to criticize V and left malicious comments saying that he was “rude.” V soon posted on Twitter and shared that BIGBANG’s “Loser” was one of his favorite songs at the time and that he has sung the song so much that the lyrics sometimes come out of his mouth. V ended the message positively!

These three songs are the ones I listen to every day before going to sleep because they’re really good, so it became a habit that the lyrics came out of my mouth upon receiving the trophy..ㅠㅠ I love you guys, you’re really cool!
