ABC7 Responds To ARMY’s Jungkook Graduation Prank In The Best Way

After being pranked, ABC7 created a special gift for ARMY.

ARMY pranksters love to play jokes, even on the mainstream media. Now, one US news station is responding to their fun in the best possible way.

ABC7 recently featured viewer-submitted names and photos of 2020 graduates, to congratulate them.

Little did ABC7 know, however, that Jungkook Jeon of Rowland Heights, California is actually Jungkook of BTS!

This photo of Jungkook was taken at his 2017 graduation from the School of Performing Arts Seoul.

On May 28, ABC7 reporter George Pennacchio addressed ARMY’s viral prank, which he describes as a “social media sensation”.

Someone, and we don’t know who, sent in a picture of a young man, suggesting he was a graduate from Rowland Heights. Well, he is actually a member of the hit South Korean super group, BTS, Jungkook Jeon.

In response, ABC7 news added BTS’s six other members to the graduating class of 2020!

We didn’t want to slight the other members of BTS, you have to be fair, right? So with a little help from our friends in the ABC7 graphics department, we put all the guys in graduation attire. So, please welcome the over 18, non-members of the Class of 2020!

Congratulations to BTS’s graduates, and to ARMY for giving everyone a good laugh!
