Actor Daniel Dae Kim Reveals He Tested Positive For The Coronavirus (COVID-19)

He called his doctor as soon as he noticed something unusual about his health.

Actor Daniel Dae Kim, best known for his roles on LOST, Hawaii Five-0, and The Good Doctor, has revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

I wanted to let you know that, yesterday, I tested posted for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Kim shared that he was previously in New York shooting a role for a TV series when production was eventually halted due to the pandemic. With the shutdown of production, he returned home to his family in Hawai`i.

Now, it’s important for you guys to know that I was asymptomatic during all of this time. But, as the flight as close to landing, I started noticing some scratchiness in my throat which is unlike how I usually get sick, so when I landed, I called my family doctor in Hawaii and he told me to monitor my symptoms.

After returning home, he decided to err on the side of caution and self-isolated, however, as his symptoms continued to escalate, he went to get tested and, unfortunately, the results came back positive.

Hawaii News Now reports that he is one of 16 recent cases in Hawaii, with the state’s Departed of Health not providing any details to the public.
