According to a report by Sports Dong-A, BLACKPINK will be coming back with a new album in June.

BLACKPINK member Jennie had recently asked fans to be on the lookout for their upcoming album in a recent YouTube video, turns out she wasn’t bluffing!

Fans of the group have been unhappy with BLACKPINK’s label YG Entertainment for a very long time.

The label has been focusing on the member’s highly successful solo activities rather than group promotions.

Jisoo made her debut as an actress with the drama Snowdrop.

Lisa dropped her solo album LALISA which would later go on to be the most-streamed album by a K-pop act. You know, super casual.

Rosè released her solo album R, for which the music video for lead single “On The Ground” has been watched over 275 million times and counting.

Jennie‘s single Solo, not to be outdone, has the distinction of being the first K-Pop song to reach 300 million streams on Spotify, and its music video is the first female solo K-pop song to reach 800 million views.

We will be remiss if we don’t mention the member’s epic promotions with legacy fashion houses, Chanel, Dior, Celine, and Saint Laurent.

While all of this is wonderful and supported by BLINKs, for many fans, nothing beats an album by all four members, and it’s about time they get one.

If released in June, the upcoming rumored album will be the group’s first in a year and a half.

That’s literally the length of Korea’s military service.
