BLACKPINK’s Jennie Helped “Air Baked” Make 2.5 Billion Won In Just A Month

BLACKPINK‘s Jennie recently became the model for Lotte Confectionery’s latest snack line, called “Air Baked”. And thanks to the powerhouse idol, the brand made over 2.5 billion won ($2.1 million USD) in just a month!

Any new product in the food industry is considered a hit if it sells 1 billion won in a month, but “Air Baked” surpassed that mark in record high sales.

“Air Baked” is a new line of snacks that isn’t fried but baked in a specialized oven to create a delicious yet healthier snack option. It’s said to have 60% less fat than the average fried snacks.

Lotte Confectionery has spent over a year to create the new snack line with countless tests and investments. As it was the launch of a brand new line, they recruited the help of a powerhouse selling idol – Jennie!

Market analysts also claimed that Jennie was the perfect fit as she had an image of enjoying life while being health conscious.

In less than a month, Jennie’s commercial video raked in over 2.69 million views on YouTube and the count just keeps on increasing. Lotte announced that they plan to continue pushing “Air Baked” with top marketing plans, which would only mean more of Jennie to come!
