7 is definitely a special number for BTS!

What Suga wants Suga gets! BTS has officially topped Billboard Hot 100 charts for the seventh consecutive week with their single “Butter.”

Despite being down last week, radio airplay audience impressions were up by 6% this week. According to MRC Data, with 29.1 million radio airplay audience impressions, 10.8 million U.S. streams (down just 1%), and 108,800 (down 29%) copies sold in the week ending July 8, the song remained top of the charts. Now, “Butter” has a total of 1 million copies in the US, making it the first song to do so this year.

Billboard also reported that “Butter” has concurrently entered the Pop Airplay top 10, BTS’s second top 10 on the mainstream top 40 radio-based charts. Last December, “Dynamite” hit No. 5. They revealed that “BTS is the first all-South Korean act with multiple Pop Airplay top 10s.”

Previously, BTS broke multiple records in their previous weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Not only did they break a personal record as “Butter” is their longest leading No.1, but they are the first Asian act to remain on top of the chart as long as they have.

Despite Suga’s prophecy, BTS remained humble and expressed their gratitude towards ARMY on social media and Weverse.

ARMYs have expressed their excitement as well online. Many would love for “Butter” to remain at the top of the charts but recognize that BTS’s new single “Permission to Dance” will likely enter the charts next week and are hoping for the best in its success.

There’s no denying 7 is definitely a special number for BTS, and seven consecutive weeks at No.1 is an amazing accomplishment. So, whether “Butter” remains on top next week or “Permission to Dance” takes No.1, ARMY are very proud!
