BTS Have The Most Expensive Advertising Model Fees In South Korea – Here’s How Much They Charge

Take a look at THIS bag!

During a recent broadcast of Mnet‘s “TMI News”, the program went into detail about which Korean stars cost the most for companies to hire for their advertising. While the list was mostly dominated by popular actors such as Park Seo-joon and Kim Soo-hyun, the top spot ultimately went to BTS!

Considering the fact that they are basically the hottest band in the entire world, the price tag on BTS is understandably high. For a year-long guaranteed contract, BTS charge ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $4.37 million USD)! That adds up to quite a large sum when considering the fact that BTS is currently modeling for 13 different companies.

But that’s not all. BTS’s recent collaboration with McDonalds was actually even more, doubling the already astronomical number with an estimated fee of ₩10.0 billion KRW (about $8.74 million USD)!

Generously, BTS has reportedly “asked for a voluntary cut of approximately 20% of their modeling fees during their advertising contract negotiations” to make it a little less hard on the brands they represent. Still, even after the 20% cut, BTS’s annual advertising fees add up to about ₩62.0 billion KRW (about $54.2 million USD)! Do you SEE this bag?

While advertising with BTS may be costly, it’s ultimately very rewarding according to reports from each company. For example, McDonalds revealed that their global sales ended up increasing by 41% after the release of the BTS Meal and the Louis Vuitton collection they modeled for sold out within the first hour of its release!
