BTS Jin’s “Super Tuna” Was Rejected From “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE,” But There’s Still Hope For ARMYs

We can’t wait for a possible OT7 “Super Tuna!”

With not long left until BTS‘s PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE shows in Seoul, netizens have been trying to get the members to spill some TMI on what they can expect.

In particular, on March 6, Jin, J-Hope, V, and Jungkook sat down with fans and spoke all about their thoughts ahead of the concert, including being honest on the shows, Jin’s hopes for his long hair, and more.

During the broadcast, the members noticed that ARMYs weren’t asking them many questions, so they decided to take it into their own hands.

They split into pairs and would ask each other questions. With 2seok (Jin and J-Hope) the first up, J-Hope asked if Jin had prepared anything special for the shows’ encore.

Surprisingly, Jin explained that he actually wanted to sing his hit solo track “Super Tuna,” which he released last December for his birthday.

When the track was released in December, it quickly took over the charts and the hearts of fans worldwide. Not only was it a breath of fresh air, but the dance was easy to learn and perfect for people of any age. In fact, the Super Tuna challenge on TikTok became a viral sensation with everyone taking part.

Unfortunately, Jin explained that the producers had turned it down. It wasn’t a surprise for fans as it is a solo song and they’re not normally played at BTS concerts.

They said I can’t do it because it’s a solo song.

Luckily, although this might have disappointed Jin, he then explained that there was still hope for the iconic track. Jin added that although he couldn’t perform it during PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE, it had been confirmed that he could possibly do it during a future fan meet.

During fan meetings, the members have always sung some of their solo tracks and had a lot of fun while doing it. At last year’s Muster Sowoozoo, ARMYs were treated to special OT7 versions of Suga‘s solo track “Daechwita” and J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup.”

For many fans, it was refreshing to see Jin bring up “Super Tuna,” which is still taking the world by storm and trending whenever possible.

When it was released last year, it seemed as if Jin didn’t expect the song to become such a hit. When it was made into a TikTok dance challenge, Jin even went on Weverse to ask fans to stop trending the song, saying that he’s embarrassed.

No, but please don’t do a “Super Tuna” challenge that I did not plan. No, I’m so embarrassed…

Hopefully, Jin’s comment means there might be a future fan meeting coming up with more chaos and fun, and maybe an OT7 version of “Super Tuna.” Yet, with so much expected from the Seoul leg of the tour, the shows will undoubtedly be amazing.
