BTS First Tour Stop, Levi’s Stadium, Closing Operations For COVID-19

The stadium will be closing operations “until further notice”. Big Hit Entertainment has responded.

Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California is taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On March 12, the stadium announced that it will be closing operations beginning on March 13 until further notice. “Public and private team events have also been cancelled in accordance with these guidelines,” the statement said, referring to planned sporting events.

This notice has alarmed BTS fans, who fear that BTS’s upcoming Map of the Soul Tour shows at Levi’s Stadium will be postponed or canceled. BTS is scheduled to perform at Levi’s Stadium on April 25 and 25.

Korean media has since reached out to BTS’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, regarding Levi’s Stadium and the US leg of the tour. According to Newsen, no changes have been made so far. “We will notify you, if there are any changes,” Big Hit Entertainment said.

Levi’s Stadium’s statement was released the same day that Live Nation announced the postponement of current touring arena shows until the end of March.
