BTS V Fans Raise Over $5,000 To Help Children With Cancer

Like idol, like fans.

A.R.M.Y has come together to raise money to help Korean children battling cancer.

A fan of BTS and V opened an account on Twitter to take donations for this cause, to do something meaningful in V’s name for his birthday. Korean A.R.M.Y and even a some international A.R.M.Y pitched in, and between 13th to 25th of December, raised a total of 6 million KRW (over $5000 USD).

The money was then donated to the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer (KACLC).

We are very thankful for the people who put together this meaning donation to help children with cancer and their families, as a way to celebrate V’s birthday. Many of the children love BTS; this donation will be a gift that brings them a lot of joy.

This isn’t the first time fans have raised donations; in fact, it is becoming common practice for fandoms to organize events such as this to celebrate a special day between their idol and the fans.

For example, just for V’s birthday, many fans have also donated to World Wild Life to adopt a tiger…

And some even donated coal for the winter to homes in need around Korea!

And don’t forget that recently, BTS and BigHit Entertainment, along with A.R.M.Y, raised over $1.6 million USD for UNICEF’s Love Myself campaign.

As the saying goes: like BTS, like A.R.M.Y! They continue to use their influence for the good, to help make the world a better place.
