California welcomes their first ever Hello Kitty Cafe

The continental United States will be welcoming their first Hello Kitty Cafe, the ongoing trend which has been sweeping Asia off its feet, in Southern California by the summer of 2015!

This isn’t the first Sanrio related venue that has been introduced to the United States, as they already have their ongoing annual Hello Kitty Con in California, as well as an open Sanrio Cafe in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sanrio is the Japanese company which holds licenses to the Hello Kitty brand as well as a variety of other cute Japanese characters.

The Hello Kitty Cafe, the ongoing trend which has been sweeping Asia off its feet, has recently debuted their mobile truck at the Hello Kitty Con in Los Angeles, California. Here, they have served a variety of themed treats, including decorated maracons and doughnuts. LAist have spoken to Allan Tea, Hello Kitty Cafe’s managing partner, who revealed that a variety of cafe foods will be served in their SoCal location, including salads and sandwiches, artisan pastries, and, of course, coffee!

The Hello Kitty Cafe plans to open in Orange County, Southern California by the summer of 2015. Though not fully up, be sure to check SoCal’s Hello Kitty Cafe website and Facebook page for their latest updates.
