Coachella Officially Postponed To October, BIGBANG’s New Comeback Plans Remain Uncertain

BIGBANG will not be making a return in April with Coachella.

Earlier this week, Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival had debated whether to cancel or postpone their April festival due to the coronavirus outbreak in the States. They made an official update, revealing that they have decided to postpone the event to October.

Coachella 2020 was supposed to take place on the weekends of April 10 and 19. But the county health authorities declared that it was too dangerous for over 250,000 fans and vendors to gather in one area amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.

Instead, Coachella will take place on October 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18. They will honor all tickets that were scheduled for April and will be issuing refunds to those who cannot attend the new dates.

The postponement announcement brings unfortunate news to VIPs as BIGBANG’s return will be not be as close as initially expected. BIGBANG was scheduled to make their first comeback performance as a 4 member group through Coachella. It would have been their first comeback since their last concert in 2017. They were scheduled to perform on two dates, but is now uncertain whether their comeback will be postponed to October or if they will choose another event to make their long-awaited return.

Meanwhile, the four members of BIGBANG have renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment once again for the third time, continuing their relationship for over 2 decades.
