“Coffee Prince” Cast To Reunite For The First Time In 13 Years With A Brand New Show

2007 saw the release of the extremely popular drama by MBC, Coffee Prince. The drama spawned an entire merchandise and export range to overseas as it was popular both domestically and overseas. The drama also popularized the Hongdae area, including the playground and the coffee shop used for filming – now still open for visits.

On the 21st of August 2020, News1 reported that the cast was preparing for a documentary project together. The documentary will launch on in September and will consist of the cast being interviewed on their thoughts on “youth”. It will be released as an episode of MBC’s new documentary series, Docuflex.

Many netizens are highly excited about the documentary and the reuniting of the cast, as many consider it their “life drama”.

Coffee Prince is about a tomboyish girl, Ko Eun Chan, played by Yoon Eun Hye, who stumbles upon the coffee shop as she seeks out a job, and the cafe owner, Choi Han Gyul (Gong Yoo), a chaebol heir that hires her so he can use her as a fake gay-lover to avoid an arranged marriage.
