Here Are The Records EXO’s Baekhyun Smashed So Far With His Latest Album “Delight”

Baekhyun has been smashing records left and right:

Last year, EXO‘s Baekhyun made his solo debut with his first mini-album City Lights and set record after record with his album. This year, Baekhyun is keeping his record-breaking track going strong by shattering even more records with his second mini-album Delight and its title track “Candy”.

It’s only been a little over a day since he made his highly-anticipated comeback on May 25 with the release of delight, but Baekhyun has already crushed several records and made history with his comeback…starting before the album had even officially dropped! Ahead of the release, Baekhyun broke his own record for the highest album pre-order sales with 732,297 pre-orders!

Baekhyun didn’t stop there, however. According to the Hanteo chart at 5:20 PM KST on May 25, Delight sold 600,908 albums which meant it broke Kang Daniel‘s previous record for most albums sold in the first week in less than a day. Baekhyun also broke several more sales records on sites like Ktown4U!

Following the first two smashed records, Baekhyun destroyed another of his own records by taking the no. 1 spot on iTunes Top Album chart in 68 countries. Previously, Baekhyun had set the record at 67 for most no. 1s on the iTunes chart for SM Entertainment artists with City Lights. Additionally, Baekhyun took the top spot on many more charts both domestically and internationally!

Speaking of topping the charts, Baekhyun joined BTS as the only artist in 2020 so far to achieve an all-kill on the Melon chart!

Furthermore, in just 3 hours and 38 minutes after Delight dropped, Baekhyun took over China’s largest music site, QQ Music. Delight sold more than 100,000 copies on the site, surpassing 2 million yuan, and earning a double-platinum certification. In doing so, Baekhyun became the fastest and first Korean singer to do so on the site in 2020.
