GOT7‘s Youngjae, (G)I-DLE‘s Minnie, Han Hyun Min, Shin Hyun Seung, and Park Se Wan are set to star in an upcoming Netflix original sitcom series, Hope the World Ends Tomorrow (literal translation).
Hope The World Ends Tomorrow will tell the story of the lives, love, friendship, andventures, and youth of a group of multinational students living together in an international dorm in Seoul.
After production of the series was confirmed, the star-studded cast list was unveiled with Youngjae, Minnie, Han Hyun Min, Park Se Wan, and Shin Hyun Seung revealed as the leads for the program. Youngjae will be playing the role of Sam, the son of the president of a global food chain who grew up in Australia.
Making her acting debut, Minnie will be taking on the role of an exchange student from Thailand named Minnie who has many dreams thanks to her love of K-Dramas.
Han Hyun Min, meanwhile, will be playing Hyun Min a Korean student who wants to live in the dorm but is unable to and has to commute 5 hours each day to school.
As for Park Se Wan, she will play Se Wan a teaching assistant who is in charge of managing the dorm. And Shin Hyun Seung will take on the role of Jamie a new student from America with a mysterious secret.
In addition to a steller cast, the new sitcom is also being worked on by a team skilled in the genre. Kwok Ik Joon who worked on sitcoms like High Kick! and Smashing On Your Back will be directing the show while, Baek Ji Hyun who worked on Nonstop and Rude Miss Young Ae and Seo Eun Jung who worked on Soonpong Clinic and New Nonstop are writing the show!
