IU Revealed To Have Purchased $6.4 Million Worth Of Property Last Year

Real estate experts have praised her for her smart real estate purchases.

It has been reported that IU purchased a building in Gwacheon at 4.6 billion KRW ($3.9 million USD) and a house in Yangpyeong at 3 billion KRW ($2.5 million USD) last year.

According to the Supreme Court’s online registry and the real estate industry, IU purchased a 2-story house in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do on August 1, 2018 at 2.2 billion KRW ($1.85 million KRW). On November 5, 2018, she purchased additional land surrounding the property at 800 million KRW ($650,000 USD).

 

According to a real estate agent working in the vicinity, IU has apparently chosen a location with great conditions and bought the house and land at a good price.

The conditions of the location are very good even within Yangpyeong-gun. It seems like she purchased the house and land according to the market value.

According to her agency, IU had purchased the house in order to use for rest on the weekends.

Numerous other celebrities are known to own houses in Yangpyeong-gun. It is said that approximately 80 celebrities live near IU’s house. Yangpyeong-gun is apparently popular due to its fresh air, clean water and manageable distance to Gangnam and the houses are usually purchased for living rather than investment purposes.

In addition, IU also purchased a 4.6 billion KRW ($3.9 million USD) building in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do in February 2018.
