K-Pop fans around the world remember Ladies’ Code’s RiSe on her birthday after fatal car accident

K-pop fans come together online in memory of the late Kwon RiSe, a member of K-pop girl-group Ladies’ Code, on her birthday, after her sudden death two years ago on September 7, 2014.

Before she joined Polaris Entertainment and Ladies’ Code, RiSe was known for her modeling. She participated in Miss Korea 2009 and was crowned “Miss Korea Japan Jin” due to her fluency in both Japanese and Korean.

RiSe signed with KeyEast in 2011, appearing on hit reality television show “We Got Married”. After leaving KeyEast, she joined Polaris Entertainment to follow her passion for music. RiSe debuted with Ladies’ Code in 2013.

On September 3rd, 2014, while traveling for her K-Pop schedules on a rainy night, the company van she was riding in collided with a wall, leaving her critically injured. RiSe passed from her injuries several days later on September 7th, 2014, shaking the K-pop world. Today she would have been 25, and fans around the world voiced their sympathies and tribute to the late K-Pop artist.

Happy birthday, Kwon RiSe, may you rest in peace.
