“KCON 2015 Japan” announces its impressive lineup for outdoor and special M! Countdown stage

For the first time since its inception in California in 2012, KCON finally makes it overseas and is expanding to Japan this year.

According to CJ E&M, North America’s largest “All Things Hallyu” convention and concert KCON will be held at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on April 22nd with M.I.B‘s Korean-Japanese vocalist Kangnam as its ambassador.

For the first time, this annual event will take place outside of the U.S, and comes just in time to also experience Japan’s Spring Festivals.

KCON 2015 Japan will similarly be decorated with Korean language courses, a cover contest, beauty sessions, and more to fulfill a rich experience in K-culture. To wrap up the day, M! Countdown will complete the evening as the main event with an artist-filled stage of performances. This event also serves to celebrate the 50th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan as well.

The convention/outdoor stage will feature Korean artists CODE-V, High4, SHU-I, TAHITI, and 5tion.

Artists to grace the M! Countdown stage of the very first KCON in Japan include GOT7, Kangnam, MYNAME*, Nicole, Lovelyz, Boyfriend, Block B, SISTAR, INFINITE, 2PM‘s Jun.K, and Supernova.

KCON is still scheduled to be held this year in America, though date and specifics have not yet been revealed.

[*NOTE: MYNAME is included in the lineup on the website, but not on their Twitter or formal press release.]
