Recently, netizens and fans noticed that Chinese actress Lareina Song Zuer’s cover art used the same background as EXO Baekhyun’s mini album, City Lights.
The backdrop of her photo still had the ‘SM Entertainment’ printing on the side, proving that it was taken from his album cover.
Not long after, the photographer in charge of the photo shoot posted an apology regarding the plagiarized photo.
I’m accountable for giving Lareina Studio an edited image that plagiarized Mr. Byun Baekhyun’s solo album today. I’m here to sincerely apologize to Mr. Byun Baekhyun, Lareina, and the fans of both parties for causing trouble for the fandoms. Something like this will never happen again in the future. I’m sorry, everyone.

Lareina Song’s studio re-posted the photographer’s apology along with their own statement.
First off, we must sincerely say to all parties who have been hurt due to this photo mix-up: sorry! The studio immediately changed the photo in question to an original one without edits, and made improvements to the internal review of our operations and rules in order to prevent something like this from happening again. Once again, to everyone: sorry!
