SM Entertainment Brings Back A Girl Group That Everyone Forgot About

Do you remember them?

SM Entertainment is bringing back an old girl group that’s brand new to many of today’s K-Pop fans.

Last year, SM Entertainment launched “MV Remastering Project,” a joint endeavor with YouTube. For this project, SM Entertainment is digitally remastering its artists’ music videos from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Global fans know half of K-Pop but don’t know about the other half. We planned this project to promote the origin and roots of K-Pop.

— Lee Sung Soo, co-CEO of SM Entertainment

This archive includes music videos that were never uploaded to SM Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, which was created in 2009. The first remastered music video was “Age of Violence” by legendary boy group H.O.T.

Now, SM Entertainment is reintroducing “Come to Me,” a 2001 music video by M.I.L.K. M.I.L.K. (Made In Lovely Kin) was a 4-member girl group under SM Entertainment’s sister label, BM Entertainment.

The group debuted on December 17, 2001, with their first album, With Freshness. In 2002 M.I.L.K. was nominated for “Best New Group” at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, along with a few other groups you may or may not remember: Black Beat (the award winner), TurtlesSugar, and Swi-T.

Unfortunately, after rapper Bae Yoo Mi left the group in 2003, M.I.L.K. disbanded. Bae Yoo Mi acted in the Winter Child (2005) and Secret Campus (2006) before retiring from the entertainment industry.

Seo Hyun Jin, the group’s main dancer, main vocalist, and maknae, is now a famous actress. She starred in Another Miss Oh (2016), Dr. Romantic (2016–2017),  and The Beauty Inside (2018), just to name a few.

Vocalist and visual Kim Bo Mi went on to act in Dangerous Love (2006) and Unforgettable Love (2006). Since then, she has been largely inactive. Her most recent appearance was in the 2014 erotic film, A Pharisee.

Park Hee Von, who went by her birth name, Jaeyoung, at the time was the former leader, vocalist, and rapper. Since the disbandment, she also transitioned into acting. She has appeared in over a dozen films and K-Dramas, including Familiar Wife (2018), Sisyphus: The Myth (2021), and Happiness (2021).

Fun fact: Girls’ Generation‘s hit song “Into the New World” was originally intended for M.I.L.K.’s second album!

Now, nearly two decades later, SM Entertainment is giving a long-awaited flashback to their hit track, “Come To Me.” Listen to M.I.L.K.’s remastered track here:
