MONSTA X’s Choreographer Issues An Apology For “Fantasia”—And Here’s Why

“I apologize from the bottom of my heart…”

Freemind choreographer Lee Hansol has worked with some of the biggest acts in K-Pop, from ASTRO to SHINee‘s Taemin. This year, he also choreographed MONSTA X‘s “Fantasia”. But, while the dance was certainly impressive, Lee Hansol actually apologized to the group in a new AYO YouTube video—and here’s why.

Back in May this year, Monbebe were shocked to learn that the group’s Fantasia X comeback was being postponed. Shock turned to concern when Starship Entertainment revealed the reason—Shownu has injured his back while practicing the choreography for “Fantasia”.

As such, it’s no surprise that one AYO viewer had a comment for the song’s choreographer, Lee Hansol. Bringing up the star’s injury, the Monbebe told Hansol that the group’s chores are “so hard“, pleading, “please don’t give [Shownu] a hard time“.

Naturally, Hansol issued an apology to MONSTA X and fans over what happened.

I apologize from the bottom of my heart…

However, Lee Hansol did go on to explain that he doesn’t make the choreography difficult just to give the members a hard time. Instead, he prepares the initial dance with a focus on the performance, trying to create choreography that looks cool with the song.

Once the group starts practicing, Lee Hansol then adjusts moves as necessary based on the idols’ opinions. He explained that although he tries to keep them from getting hurt, MONSTA X “actually want to develop and show new things“.

Thankfully, fans don’t have to worry too much in the future. Hansol assured viewers that as soon as idols experience pain or weakness in their body parts, the team takes care of it and makes sure they get the right medical checks.
