NU’EST Fans Furious At MBC’s “Video Star” For Their Rude Comments On Broadcast

On a recent episode of MBC‘s “Video Star,” NU’EST‘s Ren made a guest appearance.

However, fans quickly became furious with the show due to the rude comments included in the script. One post on the Korean community board site Instiz includes screenshots of the broadcast which capture the comments made towards NU’EST member Ren.

The script, which was unfortunately read by FIESTAR‘s Cao Luo, included comments like, “You made your debut over five years ago, but you’re still a rookie idol,” “He’s one of K-Pop’s top visuals but he’s wasting his looks,” and “The public’s recognition of him is lighter than air.”

Netizens became furious at the fact that the show made these kinds of comments to someone who came on the show as a guest.

NU’EST is a five member group that made their debut back in 2012 with the track “FACE.” Since then, they have promoted the tracks “Action,” “Hello,” Good Bye Bye,” “I’m Bad,” and “Overcome,” among others. The LOEN Entertainment group has also released tracks in Japan during the five years since their official debut.
