Park Jihoon, THE BOYZ’s Younghoon, and Lee Ruby Confirmed To Star In The Drama Series “Love Revolution”

They’ll be taking the lead roles in the drama adaptation of the hit webtoon:

Park Jihoon, THE BOYZ‘s Younghoon, and Lee Ruby will be telling the stories of teenagers navigating love, friendship, and the chaos of high school in Kakao M‘s upcoming digital original drama series, Love Revolution.

Although rumors had been circulating for a while that Park Jihoon would be starring in the drama, on June 5, Kakao M officially confirmed the news stating, “Park Jihoon has been confirmed as Gong Joo Young, a sweet-hearted character in the digital original drama ‘Love Revolution.’

Following the news about Park Jihoon, Kakao M further revealed the drama’s main cast by announcing Younghoon as the chic and popular Lee Kyung Woo who is playful, good in fighting, and good in gaming.

Younghoon, who will be making his acting debut through the show, revealed just how happy he is to take on the challenge.

I’m very happy and honored to be taking on the challenge of acting in the Love Revolution. I’m nervous but I’m honored to have the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful work and I’ll work hard to show you new and diverse aspects of myself.

Furthermore, Kakao M also introduced rookie actress Lee Ruby as the main female lead, Wang Ja Rim. Lee Ruby had previously impressed in Memorist and will be taking on her first leading role through this drama.

Love Revolution, meanwhile, is a drama adaptation of the hit webtoon by author 232. It follows the story of the lovable Gong Joo Young and his crush on the school’s prettiest girl, Wang Ja Rim. The romantic comedy has reportedly already begun filming and is expected to air later this year.
