Prayer flags raised in commemoration of Ladies’ Code RiSe’s 49th day of passing

The commemoration of Ladies’ Code‘s RiSe took place on October 25th, just few days after that of Ladies’ Code’s EunB‘s 49th day on October 21st.

Under Korean custom, the 49th day after someone passes away is considered an important milestone. This day is commemorated by erecting prayer flags and performing rituals to bless the deceased.

A representative from Polaris Entertainment mentioned, “Today is 49th day of RiSe’s passing. After the funeral in Korea, RiSe went to Japan to rest beside her father who passed away few years ago as well. RiSe’s family will have their funeral in Japan at the end of this month. Although RiSe is in Japan now, her fans in Korea has provided a room to commemorate RiSe’s 49th day. The fans have placed RiSe’s photo and her personal belongings in the room so her friends and family members can come to commemorate together.”

Ladies’ Code, along with their manager and staff, were involved in a fatal accident last September 3rd, which took the lives of members EunB and RiSe, leaving Ashley, Sojung and Zuny injured. Recently, Ladies’ Code investigators found that the speeding to be the cause of the tragic car accident. The findings state that there had been no fault found on the vehicle, rather a mistake on the driver.

The latest health condition reports Sojung, Ashley, and Zuny having been discharged from the hospital to recover and stabilize at home.
