Red Velvet Is The First Group From SM Entertainment To Hit 100 Million Streams On Spotify With “Bad Boy”

Congratulations, Red Velvet!

Red Velvet are such accomplished artists!

On December 1, 9:30 PM KST, Red Velvet’s song “Bad Boy” officially reached 100 million streams on Spotify!

“Bad Boy” was the title track for Red Velvet’s 2018 repackaged album, The Perfect Red Velvet, and was released on January 29, 2018. Primarily an R&B song with elements of Hip Hop, a synth melody and a heavy bass sound, “Bad Boy” was noted by critics to be Red Velvet’s darkest and sexiest concept undertaken by them at the time.

On December 2, Red Velvet themselves celebrated the achievement of this milestone by tweeting about it via their Twitter!

With this record under their belt, Red Velvet is the first and only SM Entertainment group to achieve this so far, and is overall the third girl group to reach such a significant milestone!

Fans everywhere have been celebrating with the hashtag #BADBOY100M:

Red Velvet is currently preparing for their third and final comeback of the ReVe Festival series, The ReVe Festival: Finale.
