SEVENTEEN‘s Seungkwan, self-proclaimed professor of K-Pop and mega fan of After School, was one of the few lucky artists on set who got to meet After School and watch their performance live. In a touching Instagram post, he expressed his awe at being able to watch his senior’s performance.

On the weekends, I used to watch music programs with my sisters while lying down in the living room eating tangerines with the fan on. When I grew up, I would come to see these singers like this who I only saw on TV and now call my seniors. I’m grateful and glad just being able to see the MCs on the stage of the seniors that everyone remembers, but it was strangely overwhelming when my seniors told me that it was thanks to me, so I was on the verge of tears multiple times throughout the filming… to all the seniors who decorated these amazing stages and staff members who planned this, you’ve worked so hard! Thank you for making me feel the power of memories. As I keep today, which seemed like a dream, as a memory, I’ll work hard in promotions!

— Seungkwan

Seungkwan remembered when After School’s hit songs “Bang” and “Diva” were released back when he was in sixth grade, and said it felt surreal to watch them perform it on stage. His own fancam is a clear indicator of this, as you can hear his adorable excited shouts in the background.

His emotions were high the entire time as he switched between wiping his tears away and jumping up and down in excitement every few seconds.

It’s safe to say that Seungkwan was able to become a successful fan on this episode of MMTG as he got to meet his childhood idols and watch them perform!
