SM Entertainment has released their statement regarding Jaehyun’s Itaewon visit, confirming he was in Itaewon on April 25 and apologizing for his actions.
In their official statement released to the media, SM Entertainment confirmed Jaehyun was in Itaewon and shared how he is currently reflecting on his actions.
Hello, this is SM Entertainment.
We are sorry to have caused trouble during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Jaehyun visited a restaurant and a bar with friends on April 25, but he did not visit the club in question that had the first Coronavirus case. He went seven days before the confirmed case was in Itaewon.
Jaehyun had no symptoms, but as Coronavirus started to spread due to the Itaewon club, he voluntarily underwent a test for Coronavirus and tested negative.
Jaehyun is deeply reflecting on how he was not careful during the period where everyone was supposed to refrain from regular meetings, and keep social distance instead.
We should have also guided and managed our artists better to keep their social distance, but we sincerely apologize for our shortcomings.
We will work harder to manage our artists so that this does not happen in the future.
Once again, we are sorry for causing concern to our fans and everyone.
