Song Joong Ki Confirmed To Host 2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) For The Fourth Time

Song Joong Ki is back.

Song Joong Ki will be hosting the 2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) for the fourth time in his storied career.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, Song Joong Ki will be the host on stage for the 2020 MAMA in Korea, held on December 6. This would be his first time hosting the awards show since 2018, as Park Bo Gum was the main host in 2019. Song Joong Ki previously hosted the awards ceremony in 2012, 2017, and 2018.

MAMA is a global music awards ceremony held by CJ ENM and this year will be the 12th edition. It started out as Mnet’s Video Music Awards, and transitioned to MAMA in 2009. This year, the main stheme of the show is “NEW-TOPIA”, where fans from all around the world can gather as one.

Mnet ultimately confirmed Song Joong Ki’s return to hosting the ceremony via their official MAMA Twitter account.

Currently, the performing lineup includes BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, GOT7, IZ*ONE, MAMAMOO, MONSTA X, TXT, and TREASURE. It is unknown whether there will be any additions made to the performance lineup.
