“Unpretty Rapstar – Season 2” confirmed to air in September

The announcement that fans of the show has been waiting for! Mnet has recently confirmed that they will air the second season of the female rap competition this fall, unveiling additional information as well.

According to multiple broadcasters on July 16th, scouting for the second season was already underway in mid-June, conducting a second set of early auditions for the show in early July.

With AOA‘s Jimin successful appearance on the show as an idol female rapper, reports reveal that many girl group rappers are looking to participate. The completion of their lineup is set to be finalized at the end of July with official recording set to begin in early August.

Similar to the first season, Unpretty Rapstar – Season 2 will incorporate an elimination process. However, this new season has been extended to 10 episodes – instead of 8 – due to the popularity of the first.

Airing of the second season will begin in September following the completion of Show Me The Money 4.

Season 1 featured female rappers Tymee, Lil Cham, Kisum, Jessi, Jimin, Cheetah, Yuk Ji Dam, and Jolly V.
