Upcoming Seoul International Drama Awards confirms the attendance of Taiwanese actor Liu Yi Hao

The 11th Seoul International Drama Awards will be taking place in just a little over a week in Seoul, where promoters have officially confirmed the appearance of a popular Taiwanese actor.

Set to be co-hosted by three MCs — actor Shin Hyun Jun, Girl’s Day member Minah and KBS announcer Lee Ji Yeon — the award ceremony, which is well until its 11th year, will be hosted at the KBS Hall and aired live on September 8th at 5:30pm KST via KBS 2TV.

On August 25th, the organizing committee confirmed that popular Taiwanese actor Liu Yi Hao will be attending the prestigious ceremony. He is known for his various hit Taiwanese dramas including When I See You Again, Pleasantly Surprised, I Am Sorry I Love You and more. The actor has built quite a fanbase in Korea, proven after holding his first successful fan meet with Korean fans just this past July.

Lui Yi Hao said about attending the upcoming awards, “I’m very glad to join an international festival under the theme of drama content,” and added, “As an actor, I’m very proud of the remarkable development of the drama industry, and I will endeavor to show better performance with each piece to lots of fans by challenging myself with diverse roles in the future.”

Another Taiwanese actor, Wang Ta Lu, was also confirmed for an appearance, but unfortunately, had to withdraw due to his tight schedule. He sends apologies to fans, saying,, “I really appreciate the support of the fans, and I am very sorry for not being able to attend the Seoul International Drama Awards due to conflicting schedules.”

This year, the Seoul International Drama Awards received a total of 265 submissions from 51 nations, so viewers can expect an exciting ceremony in September.
