Wanna One’s Plans After Disbanding, Everything you need to know

Here’s what the 11 members will be up to post-Wanna One.

Wanna One‘s illustrious career is coming to an end with their final concert in Seoul, held from January 24 to 27.

 

Though there is almost a month until January 27, their contracts with Swing Entertainment came to an end on December 31, 2018 and they will be managed by Swing until the final concert.

As a result of their contracts ending, several reports regarding the members careers post-Wanna One have been swirling around. Here’s what has been announced so far!

 

1. Kang Daniel

Kang Daniel fans have been blessed very recently with the opening of his new Instagram account.

 

Although they haven’t confirmed the exact timeline, MMO Entertainment has stated that a solo debut is in the works. It is expected that we will get Daniel’s solo debut following Yoon Jisung’s military enlistment.

 

2. Park Jihoon

The boy who was saved in the hearts of fans all over the world is hoping to work as a singer and actor after completing his time with Wanna One.

He has received several offers for dramas but nothing has been decided yet.

 

Maroo Entertainment also opened a solo fancafe for Park Jihoon as well on January 1 and asked fans to suggest names for Jihoon’s fanclub.

 

3. Lee Daehwi

The original centre Daehwi will return to hip-hop label Brand New Entertainment and form a group with fellow Wanna One member Park Woojin and MXM members Youngmin and Donghyun.

 

No doubt he will continue to rise as a composer post-Wanna One!

 

4. Kim Jaehwan

The lead vocal Kim Jaehwan will make his debut as a soloist. Although he began Produce 101 Season 2 as an individual trainee, he signed an exclusive contract with CJ E&M Entertainment.

He is slowly preparing for solo activities and will continue practicing while working on song-writing as well.

 

5. Ong Seongwoo

Ong Seongwoo will reportedly be acting in the JTBC youth drama Eighteen (working title), allegedly scheduled for a mid-2019 release.

The female lead will be Kim Hyang Gi from Along With The Gods and will focus on the lives of high schoolers.

 

6. Park Woojin

Park Woojin will also be returning to Brand New Music to debut in a new boy group with Lee Daehwi, Kim Donghyun and Im Youngmin.

The group is expected to debut around April or May 2019!

 

7. Lai Kuanlin

Kuanlin’s schedule is already very packed as he will be filming a Chinese variety show in January and a Chinese drama in February.

 

He will also be preparing to join CUBE Entertainment‘s new boy group, possibly with fellow CUBE Entertainment and Produce 101 trainee Yoo Seonho.

 

8. Yoon Jisung

Just like label-mate Kang Daniel, Yoon Jisung also opened up an Instagram to communicate with his fans.

 

Jisung will be playing the role of Muyeong in the musical “Those Days” which will start showing on February 22. He will also be debuting as a solo artist, which is scheduled to happen on February 20!

He will be enlisting in the military in the first half of 2019 as well, so it looks like he will be working hard until then!

 

9. Hwang Minhyun

Pledis Entertainment has confirmed that Minhyun will be making his return to NU’EST. He debuted as a member of NU’EST back in March 2012 and will surely be excited to promote with the NU’EST members again!

 

The other members have been busy promoting as the unit NU’EST W during Minhyun’s time as a Wanna One member.

 

10. Bae Jinyoung

C9 Entertainment has announced that Bae Jinyoung has received several offers to appear in a drama but he is expected to focus on being a singer.

There are also plans for him to be in a new boy group under C9!

 

11. Ha Sungwoon

Reports of a solo debut at the end of February for Ha Sungwoon began swirling around, however Star Crew has announced they are still discussing the possibility of a solo debut for him.

 

Star Crew also noted that they are busy preparing for fellow HOTSHOT and Produce 101 member Noh Taehyun‘s solo debut.

 

The group is rumoured to make a full group comeback in June 2019 with Sungwoon, however, Star Crew has stated they are in discussions as to whether he will return to the group or debut as a solo artist.
