YG Entertainment remains neutral on Taylor Swift-2NE1 plagiarism accusations

YG Entertainment has made a short comment with regards to the issue accusing Taylor Swift of copying 2NE1’s “Come Back Home.”

On July 21st, the debate about the similarities between Taylor Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood” and 2NE1’s “Come Back Home” surfaced. The similarities eventually went viral online as fans talk about the similarities between the music videos, while the Twitter feud between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj continued.

Although the two music videos had their own distinct storyline, the photo highlighting the similarities in their concept remained a hot topic online.

This led to YG Entertainment to release a short statement, opting to remain neutral with the issue. A representative from the agency only stated that as they look through the press releases, they managed to stumble upon the alleged plagiarism accusations, however, opted not to release a specific response to the issue.

Meanwhile, the plagiarism accusation did not only go viral online but was also reported on international news agencies such as United Kingdom’s Daily Mail and Mirror.
