5 “We Got Married” Couples That Have The Best Chemistry Ever In The History Of The Show

Which was your favorite?

We Got Married” was a successful reality show that paired up two celebrities as a virtual couple, even providing them with a “married house”. The show saw the birth of many popular couples amongst fans, who cried along with the celebrities when their run as a couple on the show came to an end. Here are our top 5 picks for the couples that had the best chemistry.

1. BTOB’s Sungjae and Red Velvet’s Joy

The couple, affectionately known as the “Bbyu” couple, were one of the youngest on the show! Their young age allowed them to show off a fresh and cheerful type of relationship like that of a young university student couple, bringing much happiness to the viewers.

2. CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun

The couple was one of the first few idol couples from the younger generation to appear on the show. Seohyun’s trademark politeness and shyness made for entertaining TV as Yonghwa tried his best to adapt to her personality. The “Goguma” couple even released a song that Yonghwa wrote based on Seohyun’s aversion to speaking informally in the beginning. Fans still listen to the “Banmal Song” today.

3. f(x)’s Victoria and 2PM’s Nichkhun

The “foreign” couple still remains in the hearts of many as they were one of the longest running and most popular couples on the show. Watching two foreigners navigate South Korea together was heart-warming and hilarious at times. One of the most loved episodes was when Victoria painstakingly put together a birthday meal with 9 dishes for her virtual husband.

4. Actor Namgoong Min and trot singer Hong Jin Young

Perhaps it was due to their age but these two brought a little sizzle to the show with their cheeky jokes and carefree spirit. Hong Jin Young in particular is known for being funny and bright, and her easy-going nature certainly was infectious although it caught Namgoong Min by surprise at times!

5. Actors Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim

Whew, these two stoked up a fire, especially during their couples photoshoot. Perhaps due to them both being actors, they weren’t afraid of getting close on camera. The two also later acted in a drama sitcom together, “Our Gabsoon“, due to the popularity of their red-hot chemistry.

The show had a successful run of 4 seasons between 2008 to 2017 – almost a decade! Although the show does not air anymore, you can watch the episodes again on YouTube on the MBC channel.
