EXID’s Hani Reveals Her Inner Turmoil After Turning 30

“I felt like I was being a burden…”

Today, EXID’s Hani appeared as a guest on KBS Joy’s Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller. In this show, Seo Jang Hoon and Lee Soo Geun listen to guest’s problems (both celebrity and non-celebrity) and offer solutions as well as a tarot reading.

There’s a lot of things I’m not good at, and I make a lot of mistakes. I wasn’t embarrassed about that until now, but after I turned 30, I started thinking about whether or not I should mature. In particular, there’s a lot of things I don’t know how to do in daily life. I’m not good with my hands and I can’t even do basic cooking. I didn’t realize how bad I was until I did a cooking show and I felt like I was being a burden.

She added that on the cooking show, she worked with Apink‘s Eunji. She shared that Eunji helped her a lot and did most of the work, so she felt sorry.

Hani went on to say that she has been studying psychology through an Academic Credit Bank System (ACBS). For those unfamiliar, essentially, if anyone collects ACBS-approved credits, they can get a degree. It offers education to a much wider population than a school could. “I want to help out the juniors in the industry,” She confessed. “But I wasn’t sure how I could help.” Therefore, she began taking courses.

It seems like these days you are sad and thinking too much, so you won’t have a positive effect when you’re counseling others. You have to find your own happiness and brightness. It seems like you’re interested in movies, so work on self-development. You can work out and become a Korean action star like Ha Ji Won.

Hani said that she likes action, but she really wants to play the role of a mother. She stated, “I feel like if I were to play a mother character, I would be able to experience a greater love than I have before.

Hani’s fortune card was revealed to be the Sun. The Sun radiates positivity, optimism, and success. Lee Soo Geun shared that this must mean that her upcoming movie will be a big hit and that she will do just fine.

Seo Jang Hoon concluded their session with a powerful statement.

Maturing is something that happens to you without realizing it. It’s not something that you can force.
