(G)I-DLE’s Minnie Opened Up About Her Acting Debut And The Character She Plays

Can’t wait to see her as an actress!

During an interview with W Korea, (G)I-DLE members were individually interviewed and asked questions pertaining to them.

Together with her beautiful photograph, Member Minne discussed her acting debut and how much she relates to her character. Minnie is starring in the sitcom I Wish the World Would End Tomorrow. The sitcom follows the storyline of several multinational students who go to school and live together in a university dorm in Seoul.

I am filming the Netflix sitcom ‘I wish the World would End tomorrow.’ Since I am interested in Korean culture, including K-pop, I took on the character of Minni, a Thai international student attending a university in Seoul. In the sitcom, Minni has many characteristics that actually resemble me. I was also an E.L.F (Super Junior’s fandom name) who was passionate about Super Junior when I was in middle school. As an E.L.F who was on the scene when Super Junior held a concert in Thailand, I know the hearts of overseas fans very well. If Corona 19 ends, I want to meet overseas fans as soon as possible while doing a world tour.

Moving away from her character, she discussed her music taste, and passions before K-Pop came into her life:

Before I liked K-pop, I was interested in composing. I have mainly made sad and calm ballad music, but I try to broaden the musical spectrum by listening to Weekend, Troy Sivan, Charlotte Lawrence, and Conan Gray. It’s so spontaneous to make music, so while driving, I suddenly get inspiration from hitting the keyboard in the studio. ‘Tung-Tung (Empty),’ released this year, was also completed in the blink of an eye. After the shooting of ‘Comeback War: Queendom,’ I began working on the song because I felt a hollow feeling like the title was literally empty. Personally, I really like the Korean word Tung-Tung. It is because the word emptiness is contained in the word emptiness that cannot be expressed in Thai or any language. You can say that the journey of (G)I-DLE has always been a series of challenges. I have never been looking for another level. The new song that will be released this time has to be distributed greatly and got on the billboard. Because dreams always have to be big.
