There’s One Scene In “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” That’s Completely Different In Korea

Marvel cleverly localized this specific scene in their movie to match the location it was being shown in. 

In the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, there is a deleted scene in which Captain America writes down a list of things he needs to learn about to catch up to the 21st Century. The list of trends, movies, people, events, songs, food, and more was unique to almost every country the movie was shown in. The last 5 items on the list remained the same in every country, however, the first five were written according to local trends and history. Here’s what the scenes looked like according to each country.

South Korea

Dance Dance Revolution, Park Ji Sung, Oldboy, Disco, and 2002 World Cup.

North America 

I Love Lucy, Moon Landing, Berlin Wall, Disco, and Steve Jobs.

France

France ’98, Louis de Funes, Cduche, Daft Punk and The Fifth Element.
