Sandara Park revealed she was worried about 2NE1’s disbandment since 2013

Sandara Park revealed in an interview that she fell into depression after 2NE1‘s disbandment and was worried about the disbandment since 2013.

In a recent interview, Sandara Park revealed how she truly felt after 2NE1 officially disbanded late last year. She confessed that she cried for many days and that she spent most of her days alone and depressed.

“There were a lot of changes last year. I cried a lot, and for a while, I spent time to myself in a state of depression.”

She explained that she felt really sad when she heard the news, especially because she had spent a very long time with her group mates.

Sandara went on to reveal she had worried about their disbandment ever since “Missing You” was released. The song was released on November 20, 2013.

“To be honest, in 2013 when we released “Missing You”, I cried a lot then, too. There’s a saying that artists will follow the meaning of path of their songs. If I think about it, I may have cried because I was worried. I started uselessly thinking about those worries in our third year. I don’t know why I worried about that then.

It’s obvious a group can’t last forever but once the reality of it kicked in, it felt as heartbreaking as a breakup. It’s not like we weren’t ever going to see each other again, but I was so distressed.”

Sandara was then asked how she felt now that some time had passed and she had adapted to the changes, to which she explained that she was doing well now and that the sadness had passed.

Furthermore, she also said that she realized nothing had really changed after their disbandment and that the other members had all shared the same feelings.
