Solar of MAMAMOO recently introduced her followers on her YouTube channel, Solarsido, to her secret healthy kale smoothie recipe.
She reveals her older sister, who she calls Big Yong Unnie, is the one who created the recipe and Solar would often drink it with her.
The juice has many health benefits: It’s good for your metabolism, the creation of cells, and removing toxins.
Here’s the recipe! It’s time to get started. Are you ready?
Step 1: Wash 10 kale leaves and cut the ends of the stems, then add to the blender.
Step 2: Add 1/2 to 2/3 of a banana, depending on your liking.
Step 3: Wash and chop one head of broccoli well, then add.
Step 4: Add 1.5 handfuls of blueberries. However, Solar notes she has tiny hands, so something with bigger hands should add only 1 handful!
Step 5: Cacao nibs. She notes these contain magnesium which can help with lethargy and depression.
Step 6: Add a half or whole apple (depending on your diet choices).
Step 7: Add camu camu powder, which she states contains Vitamin C.
Step 8: Add 500 mL (or 16.91 oz) of almond milk or water, again depending on your diet choices. She notes almond milk tastes much better.
Step 9: Blend well!
Solar states this can be used in the morning or evening. Her sister drinks it in the evening as a meal replacement, but Solar likes to have a little in the morning as a snack.
Despite the color being not the most beautiful, she says it’s still really tasty!
An important side note is remembering to clean your teeth after, as there are tons of little bits that may get stuck.
