YG Holding First YG Family Tour Since 2014, According To Insider

This may be YG’s first family tour in 4 years.

Speculations are high for YG Entertainment allegedly planning a new family tour this year!

It has been four years since the last family tour and, according to Money Today, the agency is mobilizing their artists for a concert tour speculated to happen in the second half of this year.

It’s worth noting that this concert tour in particular will feature a new range of their artists and will be headlined by idol groups WINNER, iKON, and BLACKPINK.

The last tour featured a different generation of artists such as Epik High, BIGBANG and 2NE1, hence why interest for this proposed event is high. The last YG Family concert tour also visited a total of five countries: South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, and Taiwan and attracted 400,000 fans in total.

The proposal was initially backed by Chinese investors Tencent and Weing, but no confirmed collaboration has been set.

“Once the joint venture is established in China, we will be able to promote the concert independently without local promoters and will be able to plan the performances directly through online ticket platforms.”

The venture was launched to drive a new Korean wave in China to carry out the momentum created by BIGBANG before they enlisted in the military.
